How to write the letter G in cursive
Capitals and small letters, Rs 149Interiors are still being drawn, so this is a reservation through the contact page. No payment until the file is ready to send.
Capital G opens like C, curving below line 1 and round down to line 3, then the stroke turns in and ends with a short bar pointing right. Small g starts with a round belly in the middle space, then a straight back, then a loop that swings down into line 4 and comes back up.
What to watch on four-line copy
- Small g starts exactly like small a. Belly first, then the back, then the tail.
- The tail of g loops to the left. The tail of q hooks to the right.
- Only the tail enters line 4. The belly stays in the middle space.
The mistake to correct first
g and q swapped. Say "g goes left, q goes right" while the child writes, and check the direction of the tail before looking at the shape of the belly.
Practice strip
Trace the shape three times slowly, then write the pair on your own four-line copy. Two minutes a day beats one long session on Sunday.
